Unlike anything else


When I was young, I was afraid to stick out. But what I liked about favorite books and friends, were their differences.

We’re all unique and yet so alike.

How to reconcile the importance of both our similarities and our differences?


So, genetically we’re pretty similar. Every human shares 99 percent of his or her DNA with every other person.


But then, there are more than three million differences between your genome and anyone else’s.


We even have genes in common with the banana. (Business Insider)

Finding, embracing & nourishing our differences (and what makes us quirky) seems to be one important key to nurturing ourselves as artists, entrepreneurs and creatives.

Imitating and modeling the successful traits of others seems to a path to growth!
